Buck is a keen young sportsman who is a very good rugby player but secretly prefers soccer. While watching the All Whites playing in the World Cup, Buck finds a new hero in Winston Reid. When he shares his joy with his parents, his father is dismissive, reminds him of his famous namesake and tells Buck to concentrate on his rugby. Buck gets his chance to play for his friend’s soccer team, and his natural talents are revealed. However, this creates a huge dilemma for Buck.
