Description

Eke Panuku 32 is a recreational youth magazine produced for students in wharekura and Māori-language immersion and bilingual settings.

In this issue, we follow the legendary figure Māui as he finds a way to rescue his wife, Hina. She has been taken by Whiro’s henchmen. Māui pursues them to the Underworld. However, he is told he must complete three tasks if he ever wants to see his wife again. If he succeeds, his wife is free to go; if he isn’t successful, they both become slaves to Whiro.
