The novel E Hari has been written by Manu Te Awa as the sequel to E Te Tau. This supplementary resource has been produced to sit alongside the novel as a guide for teachers to use with their students. It is intended as a baseline resource that teachers can adapt to suit their own programmes and to support learner outcomes. Through using this resource students will learn about some aspects of language style and functions; and will have the opportunity to put their learning in to practise through the various activities included in the resource.
It is aligned to Level 7 of the Reo Māori learning area in Te Marautanga o Aotearoa and is intended for teachers teaching Tau 12 students in Level 1 and 2 Māori-medium immersion settings.
