Description

This new set of 4 books is about four birds native to Aotearoa. The birds are: Kāhu, Kākā, Korimako and Ruru. Each book informs our tamariki about whakapapa and kōrero tuku iho. They describe the bird and it’s home and offers other facts specifically to these birds.

Photos, illustrations, and maps support the text and bring colour to the books.

PUAO – Ngā manu will extend the range of natural history resources presently available in Māori immersion school settings.

This supports the learning areas Pūtaiao and Te Reo Māori. The language is supported by a glossary.
