Ko ōna whakamāramatanga katoa mai i te tirohanga pūtaiao, tirohanga Māori hoki. He whakamōhio i ngā ākonga i te rerekētanga o te hekaheka, ki ngā rākau, ki ngā whakatipu hoki. E kitea ai te nohanga o te hekaheka ki te pūnaha rauropi.

Ko te rauemi nei he aratohu mā te pouako hei tautoko i te pukapuka mā te ākonga. 

Te hononga ki te Marautanga o Aotearoa (TMOA) E hāngai ana tēnei rauemi ki te wāhango ako o te Pūtaiao, i te whenu o Te Ao Tūroa, ngā whāinga ako o Te Raupori me Te Taiao.

Description

This is a teacher guide to support the student booklet on Fungi.

The aim is to provide a resource on science in Māori language for students Years 7-10. The subject matter of the student booklet aims to describe the form, function, and importance of fungi followed by examples of Māori knowledge and uses of fungi. It allows students to draw a distinction between fungi, plants and where it sits in the eco-system.
