Michael Powles

Michael Powles is a former New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru and Tuvalu. He has been responsible for Pacific affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was Deputy Secretary. He was founding Chair of the Pacific Co-operation Foundation. He writes and lectures on international relations and is currently a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Strategic Studies, Victoria University.
