Pīkaahu, Te Paatu hapū, is the claimant for the Pīkaahu claim (Wai 736), having continued on from his late aunt, Riana Pai, who lodged the claim. He is a negotiator for Ngāti Kahu’s Tiriti o Waitangi claims against the Crown, tohunga hakapapa for Ngāti Kahu, trustee of Te Paatu marae at Pāmapūria and kaumātua for Ko Te Āhua marae at Toatoa and Karepōri marae at Taipā. Lloyd trained at St John’s Theological College and is an archdeacon of the Anglican church. He has worked extensively in social services for Māori.
