Rachel Buchanan

Rachel Buchanan is a lecturer in Media Studies at La Trobe University in Melbourne and also a contributor to Melbourne's The Age newspaper. She's a widely published journalist, historian, essay writer and short story writer in both in New Zealand Australia.

Rachel grew up in Taranaki and did her PhD on Parihaka. Years later she attended an art show at City Gallery in Wellington in 2000-2001 on Parihaka and was inspired to write The Parihaka Album: Lest We Forget.
